Israel is at war - A note from Yoel Israel

Israel is at war. An existential war with Iran, which has been on our radar and has been discussed for decades. Decades of planning, of technology, of investment, of research. Collaboration comes down to this moment to protect the people of the Middle East. This is why IsraelTech exists.

IsraelTech exists to help you know what's going on, to cover the technology that we've been discussing, whether it's XTEND drones, talking to Proggio about defense technology, or DeepTech with Earth and Beyond Ventures. All these conversations give us the clarity to understand what's going on now and how Israeli tech is keeping us safe and fighting for us.

IsraelTech is here to keep you, the lovers and the fans of IsraelTech, informed of what's going on. You've always been the first to know, while the rest of the world is catching up in awe of Israeli technology and air defense intelligence, air Force, munitions, weapons, AI - we've been covering this all along.

We're very grateful to our audience who have been following and trusting us. We'll continue to keep you on top of everything related to Israeli technology. Whether you're curious, you love business, you want to invest, you're interested in geopolitics, or you are just fascinated by what tech is coming out of the Jewish state, we're here for you.

It’s also important to recognize the strength of strategic alliances. As the United States joins the strikes, its partnership and support deserve acknowledgment. Strong alliances reinforce shared values and shared security.

And let's ensure, let's pray for a swift victory for Israel, the Jewish people, and the Iranian people.

Why Most Security Teams Are Fighting the Wrong Battles | Sharon Isaaci, Tonic Security

Security teams are drowning in alerts.
What if the real breach happens while you are busy fixing the wrong one?

In this episode of IsraelTech, we sit down with Sharon Isaaci, Co-Founder and CEO of Tonic Security, to discuss the growing gap between cyber detection and real risk reduction.

Sharon previously served as Chief Intelligence Officer and CISO of the IDF Home Front Command, where he was responsible for intelligence and information security during national emergencies. After transitioning to the private sector, he saw a recurring pattern: breaches often stemmed from vulnerabilities that were already detected but never addressed in time.

Tonic Security was built to tackle that exact problem.

We cover:
- Why most security findings are false positives
- The challenge of prioritization in modern cybersecurity
- How AI is changing exposure management
- The tension between responsibility and authority inside security teams
- Building a startup during wartime
- Why resilience is essential for founders

  1. Illumex is an enterprise AI startup building a Generative Semantic Fabric that transforms organizational knowledge into structured, AI-ready business language.

illumex, founded in 2021 by CEO Inna Tokarev Sela, developed technology that converts enterprise data into semantic ontologies, enabling AI agents to operate with greater accuracy, minimize hallucinations, and reduce operational costs. Its platform helps enterprises unify fragmented data and create a consistent, domain-specific vocabulary - accelerating trusted AI adoption at scale.

Following the acquisition, Illumex’s team will join Nvidia as the company continues to deepen its AI infrastructure and enterprise capabilities. The deal is estimated at approximately $60 million. Illumex had raised $13 million from investors, including Cardumen Capital, Amdocs Ventures, Samsung Ventures, ICI Fund, Jibe Ventures, Iron Nation Fund, Ginnosar Ventures, ICON Fund, toDay Ventures, and others.

This marks another strategic move in Nvidia’s growing Israel expansion, following major acquisitions such as Mellanox, Run:AI, and Deci, and alongside plans for a massive new campus in northern Israel.
